Asbestos Surveys Prestonfield

Asbestos is a term that refers to various minerals that were used as building materials. However, they are now prohibited. Asbestos-containing materials if moved or disturbed which can lead to fibres that if inhaled can lead to a risk of contracting an asbestos-related illness.

Disease symptoms can sometimes take years to manifest. Asbestosis symptoms can develop 20-30 years after exposure.

Up until the mid 1980s asbestos was used for building materials that were used for fireproofing and insulation. It was banned by 1999.

It may be difficult to find asbestos in your building. A skilled asbestos contractor or surveyor may be needed to take a sample of the premises or survey it if asbestos is a concern in your home or business.

Core Asbestos Services can conduct a range of asbestos surveys to determine if there is asbestos in your buildings. After the survey, we will provide you with professional recommendations on any asbestos-containing materials that were identified and assist in the creation and implementation of an asbestos management plan.

Our basic asbestos services start from just £65.00 + VAT for lab testing of suspect materials and basic callouts start from just £125.00 + VAT.

In many cases, we can deliver asbestos survey reports same day of visit or within 48hrs (if lab sampling is required). ALL Lab testing is UKAS accredited.

We also do specific asbestos removals, including removal and demolition of garages and barns in Scotland. Vinyl floorings, artex coatings, and cement boards can be removed.

We offer very competitive quotes. If you would like to book one of our services, or if you're after advice about what we can offer your business, call us on 0131 510 4765 or book online.
